Japanese super computer’s startup PEZY Computing achieved to develop GREEN500-listed supercomputer in 2015.
PEZY Computing’s CEO Motoaki Saito has an extraordinary and insane vision for the technological singularity. He claimed that the first country which realize exa-scale computing (capable of at least one exaFLOPS) with revolutionary super computer will completely dominate the world scientifically, technologically, and of course, economically.
They continued to develop one of the most efficient and fastest supercomputers in the world. But he was suddenly arrested for suspicion of fraudulently obtained subsidies from the government in 2017. Nobody knows the truth, but actually, their supercomputer was not fast enough to calculate what a man is thinking.
